Convinced by 3D printing potential as a vector of social and economic changes, I take part in this movement by designing “file-objects”. I believe 3D printing will become a major alternative production method, decentralized and accessible, that may profoundly change relationship between “users” and “products”. I gained a solid technical knowledge in FDM 3D printing through construction, calibration and use of multiple printers from the RepRap project. In 2008, I begin an artistic journey, conduct as an analysis of common objects, their history and the meanings they’re associated to. It’s in this context, to achieve some projects, that I discovered the technique of 3D printing (e.g. the series of sculptures Triggers).
