Wood and plastic (FDM 3D printing)
50 x 50 x 83 cm (individually with base : 15 x 15 x 33 cm)
Set of 9 small hinged sculptures, inspired by archaeological finds, Chinese crossbow triggers,
found in the mausoleum of Emperor Liu Qi (2nd century BC – kept in the museum of Hanyang, near Xi’an where is the famous terracotta army). I modeled each one in a simply and geometric way, as a 3-part object hinged on an axis. Then I printed them on a “cobbled” FDM 3D printer, a Mendel Prusa (see also RepRap).
